Handwoven rölakan runner in wool with a geometric border and small cross-shaped motifs in pink, light blue and cream tones. Fringes at both ends.

Bio:
Rölakan is a traditional Swedish tapestry-weaving technique in which the weft is worked in separate areas of colour, often forming geometric patterns. The technique has deep roots in Swedish textile craftsmanship and became particularly associated with rug weaving. During the 1950s and 60s, rölakan remained prominent in Swedish interiors, with simplified geometric patterns and carefully balanced colour combinations.
