Ninnie Forsgren, unique sculpture, 1983.Unique sculpture in partially glazed and painted stoneware, executed in a free sculptural form with a rounded, white-glazed upper section on a tall earth-toned base. Decorated with organic lines and turquoise-glazed fields. Signed and dated 1983.

Bio:
Ninnie Charlotta Forsgren (b. 12 March 1937) is a Swedish ceramicist and designer, educated at Konstfack in Stockholm with additional practical training at Rörstrand and ceramic workshops in Denmark and Austria. In 1962 she joined Bromma Keramik, acquiring the workshop in 1963 and renaming it Ateljé Ninnie Keramik in 1968. In 1978 she transferred the business to her daughter Maria Ekberg and continued as an independent ceramic artist. From the early 1980s Forsgren worked independently with free forms, using wheel throwing as the basis for her sculptural works. From 1981 to 1993 she maintained her studio in Vänersborg.
