The composition centres on a vertical, sculptural form in vivid shades of blue, red, green and yellow, set against a light background with an intense yellow and orange field in the foreground. Bio:
Lars Bertil Bertle (1925–2026) was a Swedish modernist painter from Helsingborg. Largely self-taught, he did not devote himself to painting full-time until the late 1960s. His work is distinguished by vivid colour and an expressive approach, ranging from southern Swedish landscapes, still lifes and figures to strongly abstracted compositions. Bertle is represented in the collection of Helsingborg Museum, which includes, among other works, an abstract oil painting from his Aniara series.
