Bio:
Royal Copenhagen was founded in Copenhagen in 1775 as The Danish Porcelain Factory and was renamed The Royal Danish Porcelain Factory in 1779. Blue Fluted was the factory’s first pattern and consequently carries pattern number 1. Blue Fluted Half Lace was introduced in 1888 under artistic director Arnold Krog as a development of the factory’s classic Blue Fluted porcelain, distinguished by its decorative lace border without the pierced edge of Full Lace.
