Bio:
Saxbo was founded in 1929 by Nathalie Krebs (1895–1978) and Gunnar Nylund and was continued by Krebs after Nylund’s departure. Krebs was trained as a chemical engineer and developed a range of distinctive stoneware glazes that became a central characteristic of Saxbo’s production. The workshop held a prominent position in 20th-century Danish stoneware and closed in 1968. The encircled yin-yang mark was used from 1949 to 1968.
