Richard Uhlemeyer, floor vase.Large ceramic floor vase with a rounded, organic body and short neck with a pronounced rim. The vase features a dark glaze with turquoise crackle decoration, creating a distinctive web-like pattern across the surface. Marked. Model from the 1940s/50s.

Bio:
Richard Uhlemeyer (1900–1954) was a German ceramicist and craftsman, born in Göttingen and deceased in Hanover. He studied at the arts and crafts school in Hanover and established his own pottery workshop in 1935. His production included thrown and formed vessels distinguished by characteristic glazes and decorative surfaces. Uhlemeyer also played an important role in German craftsmanship and served from 1949 until his death in 1954 as the first president of the Central Association of German Crafts.
