Bio:
Carl-Harry Stålhane (1920–1990) was a Swedish ceramicist, designer, sculptor and painter. He joined Rörstrand in 1939 and subsequently became one of the factory’s most important artists. During the 1950s, he succeeded Gunnar Nylund as artistic director and played an important role in the development of Swedish stoneware. His work is known for elegant forms, refined glazes and decorative surfaces. Stålhane left Rörstrand in 1973 and subsequently established the Designhuset studio in Lidköping.
