Unique cylindrical porcelain vase with hand-painted figurative decoration depicting a bird in blue, pink, white and green tones. Marked Bing & Grøndahl and with the artist’s signature AG.

Origin: Denmark.

Period: Early 20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear. Second factory quality, for no obvious reasons.

Bio:
Bing & Grøndahl was founded in Copenhagen in 1853 and developed into one of Denmark’s most important porcelain manufacturers. The factory became known for both traditional porcelain and unique artistic pieces, with painters and decorators producing hand-painted motifs and experimental glazes. Bing & Grøndahl merged with Royal Copenhagen in 1985.
