Sculptural table lamp in glazed ceramic featuring a hand-decorated figural relief in warm earth tones combined with a vibrant blue glaze. Signed "Italy" on the base. Model produced in the 1960s/70s.

Bio:
Marcello Fantoni (1915–2011) was an Italian ceramic artist and sculptor from Florence. He established his own ceramics workshop in 1936 and became internationally renowned for his innovative forms, sophisticated glazing techniques and highly artistic ceramic works. During the 1950s, 60s and 70s he produced some of his most celebrated designs, combining traditional Italian craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. Today, his works are represented in major museum collections and important private collections worldwide.
