Bio:
Cay Ture Nils Anton Cedergren (1913–1977) was a Swedish ceramic artist who trained in Denmark before establishing his own pottery workshop on the island of Ven. He worked primarily in chamotte clay and became especially renowned for his expressive ceramic figures, including the celebrated Ellen and Girl from Backafall series. Following his death, his daughter Lena Cedergren continued operating the workshop for several years, and his work remains highly regarded among collectors of Swedish studio ceramics.
