Elegant porcelain set in the Blue Onion pattern, featuring the classic hand-painted underglaze blue decoration. Third quality from the mid-20th century, marked with the Meissen crossed swords and cancelled with two incised lines.

Founded in 1710, Meissen is Europes oldest porcelain manufactory. The company is internationally renowned for its hand-painted porcelain and the famous crossed swords mark, used since 1722 as a symbol of genuine Meissen porcelain. Introduced in 1739, the Blue Onion pattern is one of the worlds most iconic porcelain designs, inspired by Chinese blue-and-white wares and executed in Meissens distinctive cobalt underglaze technique.
