Bio:
Fritz Keller (1915–1994) was a German painter associated with Glauchau in Saxony and is regarded as part of the "Lost Generation" (Verschollene Generation) of artists whose careers were disrupted or overshadowed by the Second World War and its aftermath. Educated at the Academy of Graphic Arts in Leipzig under Arno Drescher and other prominent teachers, he developed a distinctive visual language rooted in German Expressionism, Die Brücke, Der Blaue Reiter, French Fauvism, and elements of Cubism. His works are held in museum and public collections in Germany and have received increasing recognition through retrospective exhibitions and renewed scholarly interest.
