Bio:
Jeppe Eisner (born 1952) is a Danish painter and printmaker, and the son of artists Ib Eisner and Inger Larsen. A self-taught artist, he is best known for his poetic and imaginative visual universe, where circus life, theatre, music, fairy tales, and surreal characters merge into richly coloured narratives. During the 1970s he studied lithography with master printer Peter Bramsen in Paris, an experience that became fundamental to his graphic work. Eisner has exhibited internationally since the early 1970s and has produced posters, book illustrations, stage designs, and public commissions for organisations including Circus Arena, Save the Children Denmark, and the Danish Derby. His prints are represented in both private and public collections and are widely collected as examples of modern Danish graphic art.
