Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Finnish-Swedish ceramic artist, sculptor and designer. He served as artistic director at Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955 and is regarded as one of the most influential figures in twentieth-century Scandinavian ceramics. Nylund created numerous iconic stoneware series and vases, celebrated for their elegant forms, innovative glazes and exceptional artistic quality.
