Bio:
Napoleone Martinuzzi (1892–1977) was an Italian sculptor, glass artist and designer. He served as artistic director at Venini from 1925 to 1931 and was one of the most influential figures in twentieth-century Murano glass. Martinuzzi is especially known for his innovative glass forms, sculptural expression and experimental use of colour and surface treatments, which had a lasting impact on Italian art glass.
