Bio:
Murano is a group of islands near Venice and has been the centre of Italian glassmaking since the thirteenth century. During the 1930s and 1940s, Murano glasshouses became renowned for their technical mastery and finely decorated works, often incorporating enamel painting, engraving and gold leaf. These artistic glass objects were exported worldwide and remain highly sought after by collectors today.
