Bio:
Johan Rohde (1856–1935) was a Danish artist and designer and one of the most important collaborators in Georg Jensen’s early years. Rohde introduced a more restrained and architectural aesthetic inspired by neoclassicism and art deco, helping define many of Georg Jensen’s most iconic silver works from the early twentieth century. His designs are represented in several international museum collections and are regarded among the finest examples of Danish silver craftsmanship.
