Bio:
Bertil Vallien (b. 1938) is one of Sweden’s most celebrated glass artists and designers, internationally recognised for his groundbreaking work for Kosta Boda. Educated at Konstfack in Stockholm, he developed a distinctive artistic language from the 1960s onward, often incorporating sculptural and symbolic elements into studio glass. His works are represented in major museum collections worldwide and are considered among the most important contributions to modern Scandinavian glass art.
