Description:
This is a classic Alfred Klitgaard puzzle (often referred to as a sliding block puzzle) made of exclusive rosewood from the mid-20th century.The box is an iconic example of Danish Modern craftsmanship from the 1960s. Alfred Klitgaard was known for his extreme precision and unsurpassed finish in working with dark woods such as rosewood.
Rules and purposeBeginning: The game starts with all wooden pieces placed very close together in the box, exactly as shown in the accompanying instruction drawing under the lid. The goal: You must maneuver the large, black piece out through the small opening (slit) at the opposite end of the wooden box.The challenge: This must be done solely by shifting and pushing the other pieces around between each other in the limited space.Restriction: No pieces may be lifted up or completely removed from the box at any time before the large piece can be pushed out.
