Bio:
Italian alabaster production has for centuries been centred in Volterra in Tuscany. In the 20th century, particularly during the Art Deco period, alabaster was widely used for decorative objects characterised by clean lines and simple forms, where the material’s natural translucency and colour variations were enhanced through polishing and the addition of metal details.
