Karl Hansen Reistrup for Kähler, jar with snake.
Decorative jar in glazed earthenware featuring a sculpted snake along the rim. Executed in a vivid yellow-orange crackle glaze with rich surface variation. Signed HAK to the base. Shows a production flaw in the form of a firing crack at the rim.

Bio:
Karl Hansen Reistrup (1847–1913) was a Danish ceramicist, sculptor and artist associated with Kähler in Næstved. Working at the intersection of art and craft, he is particularly known for his naturalistic and decorative works, often incorporating animals and organic motifs. His late 19th-century works are among the most distinctive and sought-after from Kähler’s production.
