Bio:
Gunnar Fohlin (1924–1998) was a Swedish painter, printmaker and craftsman. He worked across several media including drawing, gouache, graphic techniques and painting on paper. His works range from figurative subjects to more abstract compositions, often emphasising colour fields and rhythmic structure. Fohlin exhibited widely in Sweden during the second half of the twentieth century, and his work reflects the broader currents of Scandinavian modernism of the period.
