Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 in Copenhagen under the patronage of Queen Dowager Juliane Marie. The factory quickly became renowned for its high-quality hand-painted porcelain. The Blue Fluted pattern was introduced in the factory’s earliest years and remains one of the most iconic porcelain decorations in Danish design history.
