Impressive baluster-shaped stoneware vase with deep pink and violet luster glaze and decorative crackle surface, executed in Kähler’s characteristic artistic style from the late nineteenth century.

Bio:
Karl Hansen Reistrup (1863–1929) was a Danish ceramicist, sculptor and painter associated with Kähler in Næstved from the 1880s. He played a significant role in shaping the company’s artistic direction around 1900 and is especially renowned for his experiments with glazes, including metallic luster and crackled surfaces. His works from the 1890s represent a high point in Danish ceramic art, uniting sculptural form with advanced technical mastery.
