Bio:
Guido Gambone (1909–1969) was a key figure in mid-20th-century Italian art pottery. His work is defined by a confident balance of form and decoration, often featuring free, painterly motifs and vivid colours. His collaboration with Bitossi in Montelupo Fiorentino placed his ceramics at the intersection of craft and modern design, and production from the 1950s and 60s is now regarded as highly collectible Italian studio ceramics.
