Carl-Harry Stålhane for Rörstrand, bowl.
Unique, hand-thrown stoneware bowl with a low, rounded profile. Finished in a warm reddish-brown glaze with a darker interior and decorated with incised, rhythmic linear motifs, characteristic of Carl-Harry Stålhane’s experimental studio work at Rörstrand in the late 1950s. A strong, tactile piece with pronounced graphic surface treatment.

Bio:
Carl-Harry Stålhane was a key figure in Swedish studio ceramics and served as artistic director at Rörstrand from the 1950s. Unique pieces from this period are today regarded as highly desirable examples of Nordic ceramic art.
