Bio:
Blue Fluted Plain was introduced in 1775 and is Royal Copenhagen’s oldest and most traditional pattern. Inspired by Chinese blue-and-white porcelain, the decoration is characterised by its disciplined composition, rhythmic brushwork and finely executed hand-painted details. Special pieces such as handled dishes were produced for the laid table and demonstrate the functional versatility of the service and the factory’s high level of craftsmanship in the mid-20th century.
