Early modernist table lamp in brushed steel with a mushroom-shaped shade and conical base. A characteristic example of Czech functionalist lighting design from the interwar period, defined by clean lines and industrial materials.

Period: 1930s.
Condition: Very good condition with age-appropriate signs of wear, including light patina and minor surface marks.
Bio:
Josef Hůrka (1920–2009) was one of the leading designers at Napako, a Czech lighting company recognised for its functionalist and industrial designs. From the 1930s onward, Napako produced lamps featuring simple geometric forms, technical clarity and materials such as steel and aluminium. Hůrka’s designs are now highly sought after for their clear Bauhaus and functionalist influence.
