Bio:
Founded in 1710, Meissen was Europe’s first hard-paste porcelain factory and set the benchmark for hand-painted porcelain throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Floral decorations—especially naturalistic bouquets—were among the manufactory’s most iconic motifs. Meissen works from the late 1800s are recognised for their precision, decorative richness and continuation of classical gilded forms.
