Elegant low stoneware bowl with a boat-shaped profile and matte blue glaze with softly variegated surface texture.

Signed beneath R Sweden CHS (Carl-Harry Stålhane).

Bio:
Carl-Harry Stålhane was one of Sweden’s foremost 20th-century ceramic artists. He joined Rörstrand in 1939 and became its artistic director in the 1950s. His works range from functional designs to unique art pieces, often characterised by refined glazes and elegant organic forms. Stålhane also mentored younger designers and played a key role in shaping modern Swedish stoneware.
