Bio:
Åke Holm (1900–1980) was a Swedish ceramist and visual artist based in Höganäs, Skåne. He worked most of his life as a ceramist but also created a number of expressive woodcuts with religious and symbolist motifs. His works are characterized by a simple, monumental style and a strong sense of form, which made him a central figure in 20th-century Swedish art and graphic expression.
