Bio:
Åke Holm (1900–1980) was a Swedish ceramicist and visual artist based in Höganäs. He is best known for his stoneware sculptures with religious subjects, but also worked with printmaking and painting. His imagery reflects a strong faith and a monumental, almost archaic formal language, making him one of the most significant figures in Swedish 20th-century applied and fine arts.
