Bio:
Åke Holm (1900–1980) was a Swedish ceramicist and artist, trained at Höganäsbolaget. He is especially renowned for his ceramic works, but also created a number of woodcuts and graphic pieces, often with biblical themes. His expression is characterized by a combination of modernist simplification and profound religious symbolism, which has made his works sought after among collectors of Nordic art and design.
