Edgar Böckman (1851–1927) was a Norwegian-Swedish ceramicist and designer, recognized for his influence on Scandinavian stoneware art in the early 20th century. After working in both Norway and Sweden, he became associated with the Höganäs company in Skåne, Sweden, during the 1890s, where he played a key role in the artistic development of their ceramics.
At Höganäs, Böckman served as artistic director and was instrumental in transitioning the company from industrial production to more artistic and decorative stoneware. His work reflected the influences of Art Nouveau and National Romanticism, and he was known for experimenting with glazes and textures. His contributions helped establish Höganäs as a notable name in Nordic ceramic art.
