Set of six dining chairs, model 42, designed by Kai Kristiansen and manufactured by Schou Andersen in the 1960s. The chairs are made of dark wood and upholstered in floral fabric. Model 42 is known for its elegant design and the tilting back, which provides a particularly high level of seating comfort - one of the most popular designs from Danish furniture art in the mid-20th century.

Kai Kristiansen (b. 1929) trained as a cabinetmaker and further trained with furniture architect Kaare Klint. His designs are characterized by functionality, soft lines and a focus on craftsmanship, which has ensured his furniture a lasting popularity among collectors and design enthusiasts worldwide.
