Description:

Length 3.5 cm.
Width 2.5 cm.

Beautiful pendant in golden metal, gold double, from the late 1800's.
It is with a black stone in which is placed a fine motif of white rose, a blue forget-me-not and two white flower buds.
An ancient technique called Pietra dura.

Pietra Dura is the art of laying stone in stone, intarsia with stone.
The technique has been developed in India and is among other things. used in Taj Mahal and many other well-known buildings. In Europe, it is specially used in northern Italy by the rich Medici family for their private homes and churches.
