Description:

Height 19.5 cm.

These glasses are specially made for the opening reception of Karel Van Manders estate in 1980, more specifically, d. 3 / 6-1980.
A small but unknown number of these champagne glasses were produced, which invited guests were allowed to take home after the opening.

Karel Van Manders estate is located on pedestrian street in Copenhagen, and is today used by Klarlund and Hugo Boss.
Snow drop was designed by Per Lütken in 1978, and it was taken out of production after only a few years.
Originally, Snowdrop was intended to be a full glass series in line with other Per Lütkens designs.
However, the production method proved to be too difficult and expensive to maintain.

The manufactured items were therefore sold as unique pieces. Each single object is applied with white and green "glass cuttings" on the clear glass pulp, after which the subject has been blown into shape.

Snow drop was also produced in grey as well as in a clear version under the name "Venus".
